Is there a bandwidth limit?

No there isn’t, but we do apply a fair usage policy for our free users.

Can I use 44GallonsWeb on my own server?

No, we only host sites on 44GallonsWeb servers.

How can I point my domain name to 44GallonsWeb?

First you need have purchased 44GallonsWeb Pro to do this.

Go to "Site" → "Addresses". Click on it and choose "Add new address" → "Use existing address" and enter your custom domain in the popup window. Domain means a www.yourdomain.com style address.

Once you’ve set your site in 44GallonsWeb go to your domain registrar's site and find the option for "IP Forwarding" or "Modifying an A-Record". You can usually find this under the heading "Advanced DNS Management". Select this option and enter 44GallonsWeb’s IP address: 173.203.116.246. It can take up to 48 hours for your site to be properly directed to 44GallonsWeb servers. 

I paid for 44GallonsWeb Pro and transferred the addresses but it's not working. Why?

It takes up to 48 hours to transfer an address and configure 44GallonsWeb to use it. To double check you've entered your domain correctly in 44GallonsWeb, check it through "Site" → "Addresses" button, then check the domain you've added, or click on the options to "Add" or "Edit" your domain.

I want to know more about your backup and uptime service level.

We do a full backup every 24 hours and run constant data replication to be extra sure that no data will be lost if something major happens. Outages and incidents are part of the online world and no one can guard against them 100%, but we're doing all the right things to keep 44GallonsWeb up and running 99.9% of the time. So far we've been successful in that.

Does 44GallonsWeb offer an email service?

No, 44GallonsWeb doesn't offer email. We suggest setting your organisation up with Google Mail (Gmail), that you can tie to your address. See Google Apps and Gmail's guide to setting up email accounts for business.

If I build a website using 44GallonsWeb, does that include hosting?

Yes, hosting is a part of the service here in 44GallonsWeb.
